Main Objective

Improving the socio-economic conditions of the local Roma population in the municipality of Gjirokastra.

Main results

The local market of traditional Roma handicrafts and the site and multi-purpose space, built near the Roma community in Gjirokastër, with a total area of 2000 m2 that includes a building with a lite structure with an estimated area of 700 m2 and an open market, space for many purposes of 1300 m2.

Open market and furnished building equipment including market counters, furniture and fully functional services for 150 local Roma artisans. Marketing of local traditional handicraft products of the Roma of Gjirokastra, including branded and promoted through a targeted promotional campaign.

Equipped and furnished community center in the new market building, to serve as a place for educational and recreational community activities for 80 community members

4 trainings for business, marketing and other capacity building activities, provided to 30 local artisans.

Training of 8 municipal staff capable of managing educational and recreational activities of the community.
