Through grants, EU for Municipalities will improve the social, economic and environmental conditions of local communities in Albanian municipalities and create preconditions for a better quality of life for citizens according to EU standards.

PRIORITY AREA OF GRANTS FOR MUNICIPALITIES

Promoting and fostering sustainable and inclusive local economic development

Rehabilitation and modernisation of local public infrastructure and services

Environmental protection, city greening and resource efficiency at the local level

Promoting youth, culture and sports in local communities

For the 61 Albanian municipalities, there will be two open calls for proposals for grants to support the improvement of local infrastructure, the provision of better public services and to contribute to the sustainable development of local economies and communities. Through the sub-grants, EU for Municipalities will directly contribute to improving the quality of life of Albanian citizens.
