Meeting of the EU delegation and the partners of the project “EU for Municipalities”

The “EU for Municipalities” project in Albania has started the implementation. The project will promote the development potential of municipalities and improve the socio-economic and environmental conditions of local communities in Albania.

During the kick-off meeting, the representatives from the Delegation of the European Union in Albania, Mrs. Lenka Vitkova and Mr. Orlando Fusco, Deputy Minister of Interior, Mrs. Romina Kuko, and partners discussed the importance of the project and in particular its grant scheme for municipalities in Albania that will improve the quality of life of citizens and increase the municipalities’ contribution to the EU integration process.

This project is implemented by the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South East Europe (NALAS), Co-PLAN, Institute for Habitat Development, EcoPartners for Sustainable Development, the Association of Albanian Municipalities and the Association for Local Autonomy of Albania, with the financial support of the European Union.
