“EU4Municipalities” attended Europe Week 2024 in Gjirokastra

The demand for Roma handicrafts in the new market in Gjirokastra Municipality is expected to create more job opportunities and promote cultural exchange among tourists.

The European Union Ambassador to Albania Silvio Gonzato visited the market during Europe Week 2024 to observe ongoing transformational works.

The construction of the market in the “Zinxhira” neighbourhood is a valuable social contribution to the Roma community. The Roma market project is funded by the EU through the EU4Municipalities grant scheme.
