The “EU for Municipalities” project team together with Mr Orlando Fusco from the Delegation of the European Union to Albania and the colleagues from “Municipalities for Europe” project team held meetings with the mayor of Gjirokastra, Mr. Flamur Golemi as well with the members of the municipal council and representatives of the civil society to understand the development needs and potential of Gjirokastra as well as to acquaint them with the purpose and role of the “EU for Municipalities”project in order to strengthen the social, economic and environmental conditions of the local communities.
