In Lezha, the project team “EU for Municipalities” held the next information session with representatives of the municipalities of the northern region for the second call of the grant scheme open until June 10, 2022. During this meeting were presented documents, rules, criteria and application procedures which should be followed by all municipalities interested in applying for this call, reiterating that this call will be supported by up to 15 municipalities with grants from 20,000 Euros to 50,000 Euros, of which up to 70% will be dedicated to public investment.<\/p>\n
The project also conducted training focusing on writing a successful project proposal, based on the Project Management Cycle methodology, according to European Union criteria. This training cycle was organized by the EU for Municipalities together with the project team “Municipalities for Europe” in order to increase the knowledge and capacity of Albanian municipalities to write and obtain funding from foreign and EU donors.<\/p>\n
The “EU for Municipalities” project is a new project funded by the European Union, which has the overall objective of helping the development potential of municipalities in Albania and contributing to improving the socio-economic and environmental conditions of local communities in Albania, through investment grants to municipalities.<\/p>\n
