In ancient times, it was one of the most important cities, known as Lisus. Today’s Lezha carries great historical, economic, social, and cultural weight in Albania.
The waters of the Adriatic that wash the shores of Lezha make this municipality one of the most popular during the summer season.
Shëngjin Beach in Lezha represents one of Albania’s most attractive holiday destinations. With its crystal waters, developed infrastructure, and rich activities, in Shëngjin every tourist can find something to enjoy.
This coastal destination is ideal for those looking for a quiet vacation, adventure, and an unforgettable summer experience.
Shëngjini offers a combination of beautiful nature, warm hospitality, and numerous activities, making it the perfect place for summer holidays.
The municipality of Lezha has taken an important step in the direction of improving tourist services in its area by building and putting into operation an information office (Info-Point) for tourists on the beach of Shëngjin.
The implementation of the “Development of Tourism in Lezha” project, supported by the European Union through the “EU for Municipalities” grant scheme, enabled the improvement of municipal services to contribute to the development of Lezha’s tourism potential as well as to promote the tourist offer of this municipality.
For the realization of the project “Development of Tourism in Lezha,” the total budget used was 51,840 euros, of which 46,656 euros were the contribution of the European Union.
The mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, thinks that the construction of the Info Point office in Shëngjin is an added value for the Lezha Municipality and eases communication for people visiting Shëngjin.
“Through the Info Point, many tourists have been informed about the cultural, historical, ethnographic, natural values, and resources that the coast of Shengjin has. For this reason, we thank the donor who allowed Lezhë Municipality to finance such an important project for us. The Municipality of Lezha is committed to the Info Point being close to tourists every day of the year,” says Mayor Pjerin Ndreu. Info Point offers information by contemporary standards for about 5,000 local and foreign tourists who frequent Shëngjin Beach. This service aims to guarantee a pleasant and informative experience for all visitors, providing detailed information on tourist attractions, accommodation services, and various activities in the area. In the framework of this project, public meetings with local business representatives were also organized to promote a better tourist offer. These meetings have served as a platform to discuss and identify effective ways to improve tourist services at Shëngjin Beach.
